FAQ's
How long do Smooth Club memberships last?
All Smooth Club memberships run for 12 months, paid monthly.
How often can I have laser treatments?
Treatments are typically carried out every 5–6 weeks, depending on the area and hair growth cycle. Your practitioner will advise the safest and most effective schedule for you.
Is laser hair removal safe?
Yes — laser hair removal is a clinically proven, safe and effective treatment when performed by trained professionals. A full consultation and patch test are required before treatment begins.
Do I need a patch test before starting my membership?
Yes. A patch test is mandatory for all laser treatments. A patch test must be completed at least 48 hours before your first laser session to ensure your skin responds safely to the treatment. Your patch test appointment must be booked before your first treatment date.
What happens at my patch test appointment?
During your patch test:
· We assess your skin and hair type
· Test a small area using safe laser settings
· Provide pre- and post-treatment advice
· Confirm suitability for treatment
Can I change areas during my membership?
Areas are fixed once treatment has started to ensure consistent and effective results. Any changes must be discussed with your practitioner and may require a new patch test.
What happens if I miss an appointment?
Missed appointments are subject to our clinic cancellation policy. Sessions do not automatically roll over unless agreed in advance.
Can I cancel my membership early?
Smooth Club memberships are 12-month commitments. Early cancellation is not permitted unless medically required and agreed by the clinic.
Who is not suitable for laser hair removal?
Laser may not be suitable if you:
· Are pregnant
· Have certain medical conditions or photosensitising medications
· Have had recent sun exposure or active skin infections
Suitability will always be assessed at consultation and patch test.
Do I need to stop skincare before laser?
Some active skincare products (such as retinoids or acids) may need to be paused before treatment. You’ll receive full guidance during your consultation and patch test.
